Need some "HELP" what's the best and cheapest way to to into riding a fixedgear??
Have an old MalvenStar hanging in the shed but not sure of best way to convert it?? Just want to start ripen up the streets.

Best and cheapest aren't the same thing here, but almost. The cheapest is to rotafix a freewheel so that it no longer coasts.. but that's not very safe in the long run. The best way to convert to fixed is to buy a new back wheel with a track hub. As long as the frame you have has room to move the wheel back and forwards in the dropouts for tensioning of the chain you should be fine.
Buy new back wheel.
Attach cog to back wheel, add lock ring to stop cog coming off.
Remove all but the inner most front chainrings on your bike.
Buy new chain and attach to cog and chainring, find right length and join.
Tension chain by pulling wheel back in dropouts.
Ride.
