Brett Richardson. Built frames in Brisbane from the early 80's till the 90's. Had a big following in the mid 80's when he worked out of Triathletes World, Albion. At this time a young bloke called Darrell McCulloch - who had just finished his apprenticeship with Eric Hendren of Hoffy Cycles - worked fro Brett, and built many frames under the Berretto marque. This was long before the LLeweLLyn marque came into being. Brett moved his business to Berretto Bicycles at Chermside where he remained until he called it quits for shop and building work. Brett now works as a TAFE lecturer and runs the Certificate level bicycle mechanics courses on offer. Last time I spoke to him, he still has some of the old Berretto decal sets left for anyone who wants to do a restoration.
