One thing I love about the ol' instagram is seeing what and where people are riding - particularly those who live in places resembling Planet Hoth.
Australia has an unmistakable look and feel to it. If you were here you'd also notice the smells of the bush.
Where I live, if you ride a bike chances are it's because you lost your license. Hopefully that will change. One advantage of living in the sticks is access to this.

Means a chance to quickly jump on the bike and get some dirt into the diet. For a foreigner, you'd see more Australian fauna in my backyard than at the Royal Melbourne Zoo. Just last night in a half hour blast I saw black swans, ducks, cockatoos, galahs, a lyrebird, mobs of kangaroos in their hundreds, an echidna, a black snake and the pesky imports, rabbits. Even saw two foxes.
Amazing.
It was nearly hot enough to warrant a swim too.
