Is it really so surprising?

Of the many duels of the tour, for me watching this stage was a highlight. Andy and Alberto smashed the worlds best apart on the foot of the climb and continued like motorbikes to the summit, trying to the tear the other a new proverbial.

The verdict is in, and Andy will be the winner on paper for 2010, without the adulation from the day, the adrenalin of standing atop the podium.

Losers?

Pro cycling - having it's name linked to doping/drugs/cheating again in the media for the forseable future.
