Masi - mondo

Colnago-phile Greg Softley of Cyclomondo fame said I should check out his latest acquisitions. I think you should too.

If you ever feel like your addiction to bikes is going overboard or your better half is giving your grief, Greg is a welcome reminder that most of us are still in our collector diapers with a archive of steel and alloy that would put Colnago's own showroom to shame.

Colnago is where Greg's heart lies, and the earlier the better. This is perhaps THE earliest Colnago in existence.

ICS Magni C Record.

The Swiss manufacturer went bust, no doubt due to the fact that their products were beyond sensible pricing. Arguably too pretty to ride.

MASI

'Gran Crit. Very Early GC. Cranks, 1st Gen Campy NR brakes, levers drilled/milled by Masi shop - engraved with "M". Masi saddle (similar to B17N, with perforated pattern, "M" engraved rivets). Earliest reference of "M" bb cutout.'

Cinelli Steel sliding stems and variations.

I feel much better now.
