Track has died
Track has risen
Track will come again.
Matt Keenan wrote this piece about track cycling. While it frustrates me, I cannot argue with Matt's logic. Then I think about that code of football so popular here in Melbourne, where for many rounds and teams towards the season end, nothing is up for grabs, yet they get more people to attend, sitting outside in the cold, than they will at Hisense this week to witness the Worlds best track cyclists. The marketing and promotion of track in Australia is stale. If no one knows about the sport and event other that track diehards, how can you expect them to go?

Matt Crampton is his own mechanic. A touch of finishline and BAM! the creak is gone.

MO TRACK!
At a club level, where even the greats started, and fixed gear will never die.

Helmets
I'm sure someone has done a survey/investigation to show that not wearing a helmet is better than incorrectly wearing one. Whatever the results of the survey, it's still illegal to not wear one in Australia, and to the British Trackies, it's also $259 for running a red light.
Welcome to Australia.
