Get your lemon and salt ready.
OW's Colnago Mexico.
Wasn't much to talk about in this state.
A Colnago Mexico with crimped top tube would have been the Starship Enterprise of it's time.
At some point the previous owner had replaced parts, the sedate dark grey paint had seen a little too much sun, and rims worn from a lot of riding in all conditions.
Time for a makeover.

Time.Labour.Coin.
The plan was initially just a respray, then a rechrome, then it spiralled into a quest for Colnago pantographed components, and NOS Campagnolo Record parts to fill the gaps with a view to being a bike that had rolled out of the store from nearly 30 years before.
The pedals are standouts. Campagnolo Super Record with Titanium axles and what appears to be factory detailing of the pedal cages with white paint.
NOS Regina hollow link chain and freewheel, NOS 3ttt Colnago stem and 3ttt Colnago bars, Cinelli saddle, Colnago shifters, Colnago brakes. Amazing.
Busyman affixed the buckles to the leather Colnago toe straps, FYXO polished seat pillar and repainting of flutes, and Shifterbikes as always for the wheelbuild, gluing of tubulars and assembly with finesse.
One of my favourite builds in a long time.
