The Urban Cycling Hall Of Fame (UCHOF) has launched in conjunction with Chrome Industries. I feel priveledged to be one of the innaugral selection commitee,  alongside lifetime peers who have been constant inspiration to do what I do, and do it better.

Let me rewind to how I came to ride track bikes in the first place.

I started as a bike courier a week after September 11, 2001.

I fell into bike couriering by accident.  I'd pondered it but it wasn't until I was down to my last few pounds with few 'real job' prospects that I answered the call of an ad in back of Time Out.   'Bike Couriers Wanted:  Good english required'.  I started work the next day and never looked back.

A while back I shot you an email squeezing you for info about heading over to Europe to watch a few Spring Classics. You responded with a brief message that said "contact Seb" which I did before heading over and having one of the best bike experiences I have ever had in my 47 years.

I've been in Alleycats with Tall Bikes, but Stoopidtall shatters the ceiling on what I previously considered a tall bike.

We hit the hay at a tickle after 7 last night and it felt amazing to have a full 11 hours of uninterupted deep sleep.  At least I did.

I woke at the familiar time of 6am to the sound of nothing.

I travelled there for a single days ride and left with the memories of a week long romance with the region.

It was love at first sight.
