Strictly Speedin'
As a 16 year old velo-punk, The Gonz built Phase I of the Gravity Bike, racing it down the steepest grades of local surburbia, testing, developing, in pursuit of speed.
Thongs, shirt and no helmet.
Here we have Phase IV, and the last phase for this frame before a new chassis is developed.
Two weeks from now, it will be raced officially at Bathurt's Mount Panorama - in full leathers.
The gravity bike relies purely on gravity as the throttle, and it's sleek design is to encourage pure speed.
All hand fabricated as a teenager, and modified through the ages.
Customised Marzocchi Z1 Air forks, DOPE brakes, Velocity 20" Deep V's
, Vintage coil suspension in the rear from a 60's motor-sickle, internal brake cabling routing, adjustable steering dampening, ADJUSTABLE head angle, made from tubes originally planned for the completion of the family garage - they now form the heart of this weapon.
We'll be chasing Gonz next week to capture the last days of testing before they head north to the proving grounds.

You boys weren't out warrandyte way on the weekend were you? I saw something very similar on a trailer and spent the next ten minutes alternating between thoughts of 'wtf *was* that?' and 'why didn't i stop and check it out?'.
Totally crazy, and i love it. |

We'd like to keep the open road test locations, but sounds like you saw Gonz and BP in action - followed closely by a flamin' Fairlane 500. |
