Take This Charming Man for example





Ok, so perhaps not more to life than bicycles, but too much of a good thing is still too much.

Depending on who you listen to, this site is now called freewheelomatosis, because they caught me in the act of riding a geared bike WITH brakes.

This is the same person I trounced in the Burn City Scavenger Hunt, on a ladies bike with a coaster brake.

The same person who is rejoicing his retirement from courieringering, to a job where he is sat on his proverbial the whole day long.

Make sense?



*Shock horror*

Yes. I accept pleasure in the benefits of a freewheel... from time to time. I'm sure we can all admit to being guilty of that at some point.

If it wasn't clear enough in the recent post when referring to 53:14, a quiver of road bikes has appeared with the track bikes once were.

Even Bill will agree that the best, or at least top earning couriers ride bikes with a brake and/or gears.

With this in mind I opened the archive and found this account of some geared gals from the past.

Sigh.
