May Mondayitis

Mondays. We can all do without them.

So here's a little Cam-pick-me-up-gnolo to warm your engine.

Lazy Sundays.

I try and make the Sunday pedal up the mount with the bunch.

Sometimes it's 5, maybe a dozen in good weather and they trickle past at roughly quarter to.

I rolled out on a flat tyre, made THE fastest change ever, yet only to see in the distance the sun relfecting down on a small pack.

Chasing from the gun...

Only when I'd caught this small group at Mernda, I noticed even further up the rode, an absolute PELETON was singing along.

So I chased harder, for even longer, and by the time I was at the foot of the hill I'd latched on to the Drapac lads AND the bunch who were cruisin' along.

Gotta love a lazy Sunday....

Mark French is back in the spotlight for GOOD reasons.

One of the major television stations is running a piece during prime time on his return to his prime in cycling after his dressing down by the AIS when he was only a kid.

Good luck, Mark.

MELBURN:

Yay for highways!

Once in a lifetime is right - any other day of the week and cyclists are target practice.

A "once-in-a-lifetime" cycling opportunity has arrived.

To celebrate the opening of the exiting new EastLink motorway, we are offering cyclists the chance to ride EastLink and raise funds for the Cancer Council Victoria.

Be the first to ride this wonderful road and afterwards join in the festivities of the EastLink Roadshow, Sunday 15 June.

A magnificent wide road with a beautifully smooth surface that allows you to get the maximum benefit out of every stroke of the pedal ......with no motorised company!

EastLink is Melbourne's new motorway, between Ringwood and Frankston, with 39km of motorway, by-passing at least 45 traffic lights.

There are four options - all starting and finishing at the Tom Wills Interchange (The Monash freeway).

Enter any of the EastLink rides by Friday 6 June and you will go in the draw to win one of many prizes including: a new Argon 18 Plutonium Road bike valued at $1499, 2 tickets on the 2008 Great Victorian Bike Ride valued at $1550, Lunch with Phil Liggett where six lucky participants will have a table at the Jayco Bay Classic VIP Marquee in January, plus a range of Shimano products valued $2500!
