A long time ago when I was in college, another student came up to me, her long dark fingers entwined in mine - she exclaimed 'Look, we've got jungle fever!'

At the time the reference soared over my head.

'Jungle what?'

Only now have I come to realise that she was referring to when you combine black and white cable routing on your road bike.
