Good news or the bad first?

Bad.

There has been an incident of 'dodgy' dealings on the forum.

One member paying for something, not receiving it.

Months have elapsed, money paid.  No communication.

I'd like to think that there is a solid reason, even if pure laziness is it, for it not arriving.

I personally have dealt with the same person and it was the single most frustrating transaction I have ever experienced.  The goods did come through in the end, but I've had bikes repaired in less time... if you know what I mean.

So Jimbo, please -  if you haven't sent the frame, how about it?

If you know Jimbo personally, give him a solid kick.

Since I've started on the bad foot, I'd like to also bring up a topic I swept under the carpet for a long time.

Known Bike Thiefs.

The most famous case has been the recent finding of 3000 odd bikes that Igor had procured in some manner on another in Toronto, but it is not exclusive to that city.

When I worked in New York a fellow messenger asked me if 'so and so' knew what my bike looked like.

'Why would they need to know that?' -  they replied with 'no reason'.

Even a butter knife could work this one out.

So before people start losing fingers... or toes, do the right thing.  If you know about it - stop it.

Bicycle Film Festival

Coming to Melburn this November.

Other than the bike beauty pageant, show and shine, bunny hop, BMX street crusade, films, parties, music gigs and art shows...

An alleycat will be held, and the top prize will be a GOrilla Track frame.

Winner chooses colour, size, you name it.  They even come with Columbus MAX forks.

That's an Australia Gorilla right there. $1000.

Ride whatever you like. For political reasons I will not be racing.

Watch this space.

You can also see some of our work in the flesh at the Platform artspace, sharing the floor with an amazing photographer - Chris Polack.

Forget the website - buy the magazine!

The difference between Europeans and Americans.

Thanks Keirin/Kyle.

The moment I'VE been waiting for.

My Llewellyn to come back from the painters.

Where have I seen that blue before?

It's very tricky to represent paint and capture the same beauty of it with a camera as it is in the flesh.

I did my best.

Uncle Phil says 'G'day'

Coolest flickr I've seen since...

Thanks

Phew.

Lastly, our webhost has made his demands again.

Contrary to popular belief, webhosts do not accept monopoly money as payment.

Thanks to RK in far away Germany for his handsome modelling skills.

Danke.

Have a great weekend.

Ride and ride safe.
