Homework
I saw this

I know the answer
There is nothing worse than the feeling of being exposed. Mentally and physically.
I've been humbly exposed by kids almost half my age, kids I used to thrash - EASILY.
With track racing the more homework you do ( insert t-word) the easier and better your results on a test (rrr-acing). You can always hide in the bunch on the road.
So after a solid 2 months of not riding, there was no way to cheat in A and there I was - hangin' on.
Standing at the foot of Mt Fitness, peering up into the clouds and knowing that I've been up on the higher sections before, I realise there is a lot of work to be done to reach the summit.
Unlike freestyle fixed where you can learn to trackstand, ride backwards, bunnyhop, barspin in 10 minutes - and the skills will stick with you, racing is a cruel reminder that if you don't study you will always fail.
That's what I love about it.

Is that DB centre?
Not that I don't envy the skills of upcoming freestylers - since Copenhagen CMWC when I saw a trackbike complete the trials course, I believe there is nothing that CAN'T be done on one.
How's the air up there?

Across the river - Kiwi's killin' it.

Erik Zabel will likely end his career in Berlin, Germany, at the Six-Day race from January 22 to 27. Zabel announced during the World Championships that he will call it quits after 16 years in the pro peloton.
Zabel told the Berliner Zeitung that he was happy to be able to race in the German capital. "After retiring from road racing I will still do the six-day races. Because Berlin is the last German race, I can finally participate in the Velodrom [name of the stadium where the race takes place - ed.]"
Historically the race in Berlin was always too late for Zabel to participate, as he was busy preparing the road racing season. The enormous efforts by the organisers Heinz Seesing to sign Zabel up over the years were finally rewarded. "This time it is perfect. With our sports manager Dieter Stein we will now start the negotiations with Erik Zabel. I am sure we will reach agreement with everything. We will give him a big stage."
Not sure if this has been posted before - but the first thing I do when I buy something is take the price tag OFF - especially when it's a gift.

If I had put $50 on Cadel to win Le Tour this year, what will it be worth next week?
