I've broken the bad weather spell! Weather was spot on.
Tricky decision between work, basking in the sun, and getting a hit.

Birthday boys.
At 12.03am my astrological brother called to be the first person to wish me 'happy birthday'.
Which got me thinking about money in the bank vs things to the tell the grandkids.
One account is always near empty, and the other is constantly growing because I've always chosen adventure over sensibility thanks to people like .
I met Makatron at the end of main race at CMWC Copenhagen and he is about the only person I know who has travelled as much if not more than myself which I something I have always admired.
If you've seen PEDAL he comes 2nd in the brutal Halloween race.
Must be a saggitarian trait ;)

Old foes McEwen and Cooke team to beat in madison

AUSTRALIAN road cycling sprinters Robbie McEwen and Baden Cooke have handed Revolution 4 organisers a huge promotional coup.
The only two Australians to have won the Tour de France's green sprinter's jersey, McEwen and Cooke will team up in Wednesday's madison at HiSense Arena. "I'm a bit nervous to be honest. It has been years since I've raced on the track," Cooke said.
"But the madison was one of my best disciplines on the track.
Cooke and McEwen will be tested by another high-class outfit in dual Olympic gold medallist Graeme Brown and talented West Australian Cameron Meyer.
Cooke is keenly aware of Brown's merciless racing mindset. "We all know how to throw a hook but there's no need to put people's lives in danger."
Cooke is well aware that many of Australia's top young cyclists will be keen to defeat him and McEwan.
"Guys like Leigh Howard are in smoking-hot form and will be difficult to beat but we certainly won't be lying down. I won't give them a free run."
McEwen has been riding the track once a week preparing for the event, while Cooke has been putting in the kilometres before joining a new team, Rock Racing, in 2009.

How many more sleeps?
I'm sure there isn't a single kid who hasn't wanted a bike for Christmas/Kwaanza.
I can remember most of the bikes my bro and I got from Santa.
One year it was at the back door, a gold BMX. My brother noticed that it was used (second hand) to which the folks replied that Santa rode it here which is why it had some marks on it.
Then came my first foray into the geared world.
A Hallmark mountain bike. Reynolds 911C plumbing pipe, shimano SIS thumb shifters, steel rims and cromo 3 piece cranks.
The bike came with foam around all the tubes to protect it in transit. However, my Dad insisted they remained on to protect the paint work. You can imagine the ignomy of having to ride your new bike on Christmas Day and the kids asking why the foam padding was still on. Some scars will never heal.
My cunning little brother removed them one by one telling Dad the wind took them off.
I'd heard about gears from the other kids on the street. The 'know it all' said that you needed to pedal BACKWARDS while shifting.
You can imagine the heartache of my new bike crunching through the changes like a transmission with no clutch.
I figured the 'know it all' was wrong and just tried shifting while riding and TA DA!
This year?
Just happy to be alive and pedalling.
But another bike could easily be stuffed into my Christmas stocking.
